According to international rules a child’s age at the time of its initial flight determines to which category of passengers she will belong: “Infants”, “Children”, “Adults”.
“Infants” are passengers under 2 years travelling without a separate seat in the cabin of the plane on the adult’s lap. Ticket for “infant” is issued with 90% discount of normal or special fare (unless otherwise specified in fare application rules). Free baggage allowance for infant is 10 kg. An adult passenger is entitled to carry two children under 2 years – one on his lap and another (or both) in a separate seat in the plane with payment of ticket according to the rules established for the category “Children”. A child under 2 years travelling in a separate seat in the plane shall be carried in the car seat certified for usage in air transport. If the passenger has no such a seat and failed to comply with the specified conditions, the carrier shall be entitled to deny transportation of a child under 2 years in a separate seat.
Attention!Passengers travelling with children under 2 years may not check-in online on the website of the airline! Check-in and baggage handling are carried out only in the airport at the check-in desk.
“Children” are passengers between the ages of 2 and 11 years accompanied by adult and travelling in separate seats in the plane. Tickets for “children” are issued with application of children’s fare from normal or special fare (unless otherwise specified by fare application rules). Prescribed allowance is applied to free baggage allowance. “Adults”are passengers over 12 years. Children’s fare is not applied to cost of tickets of this category of passengers. Prescribed allowance is applied to free baggage allowance.
Attention!Passengers between the ages of 5 and 13 years who travel without an adult escort in domestic flights and passengers between the ages of 5 and 15 years who travel without an adult escort in international flights are special category of passengers called “unaccompanied minors”.
Age (date of birth) of a child is indicated on her ticket. During check-in a passenger (or a person accompanying a child) must present a document (birth certificate/child’s travel document/foreign passport) to the airline, which proves the age of a child. In the event that actual age of a child does not correspond to the age indicated on the ticket, Motor Such Airlines is entitled to deny flight to such a child or to require issuance of a new ticket corresponding to the actual age of the child.
When travelling with a child it is allowed to carry cradles, stick-type baby strollers of up to 4.5 kg and dimensions not exceeding 53x27x97 cm in the cabin. All other strollers shall be dropped off at the check-in desk and cannot be brought to the cabin of the plane.
